Mountain Blends is a small batch coffee roaster nestled in the Rocky Mountains. What began as a little roasterie back in 1991, is currently run by 3 passionate, adventurous, fun loving girls, Jennifer, Alyssa and Donna, who all share the same enthusiasm for coffee and love for the environment.
All of the coffee roasted by the trio is Certified Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, and Organic. It is sourced as specialty green coffee beans from regions around the world. The roasts are profiled to bring out the unique flavors inherent to the bean. All Mountain Blends coffee is roasted to order and shipped within 24 to 48 hours of roasting.
In addition to roasting great coffee, their passion for the environment drives them to manage their imprint in the community, they encourage customers to bring their own container in when picking up coffee, they reuse coffee chaff (byproduct of roasting) for community gardens, reuse coffee sacs for everything people can imagine. This commitment to conscious living in the Canmore community is what has led to their continued success and why we are grateful to count them as a member of the Organic Box Food Family.
When asked about their delightful logo, Jennifer's answer: "There is no major story behind the goat… It came to me in a dream."
