Many people in our food family may have already seen the recent news about our team, our company and our mission, but I wanted to write a little about what these messages mean and why we are telling these stories. <strong>Make Something Edmonton</strong> Last year when we started our project to build Western Canada's Largest Organic Food Hub, we invited our community in Edmonton and Northern Alberta to join us.  The idea was to build a centre of excellence here in Edmonton where local food producers could come together, share resources and infrastructure, and combine forces to push ahead the food agenda in our city.  So far our project has been a huge success and we are already expanding our offerings to the food community and our membership.  Its never been a better time to be a member of The Organic Box. <a title="Watch the Make Something Edmonton segment" href="http://edmonton.ctvnews.ca/video?clipId=542330" target="_blank">Watch the Make Something Edmonton Segment</a> [caption id="attachment_4934" align="aligncenter" width="960"]<a href="http://edmonton.ctvnews.ca/video?clipId=542330" target="_blank"><img class="wp-image-4934 size-full" src="/media/original_images/theline_ctv.jpg" alt="Production line in our Warehouse" width="960" height="536" /></a> Learn About Our Make Something Edmonton Project[/caption] <strong>Gateway Association</strong> In the fall of 2014 we were approached by the Gateway Association to explore the possibility of our company hiring one of their clients.  The Gateway Association has been working with Edmontonians with disabilities for the past 40 years, partnering to help their clients find employment opportunities and educating the community about this very special and productive workforce.
