Back in the spring of 2012, Judi was sitting in her grandmother's kitchen in Souris, PEI when she found a job posting for a position in our Warehouse! After reading more about The Organic Box, she fell in love, applied for the job and - after a 13-hour plane ride across the country - she met with our GM Abbie and joined our team packing boxes on June 20, 2012. She's since moved into the office and works primarily with our Delivery Team as Dispatch - planning their routes and delivery schedules each and every week! Fun facts about Judi:
• She grew up in Athabasca - with her older brother, Adam, who you may have seen featured here last week.

• Her pet gecko is named Oolong! She also has 3 "pet" dinosaurs on her desk - hanging out since August 2012.

• In her free time - Judi enjoys reading, building personal maps, painting with watercolour, and getting creative with Sculpey modelling clay.

• She also enjoys cooking and baking - especially taking existing recipes and turning them into healthier options. Making pizza dough from scratch is her party trick!

• Judi's favourite items from The Organic Box are Triple Jim's Crispy Apple Rings, fresh Passionfruit (coming soon!), Peas on Earth Carrots, and she usually has a ViaBar everyday!

[space height="20"]

Judi's favourite story from The Organic Box:

[space height="20"]

'I think "HAPPY THANK YOU!!!" from a young child receiving their first Organic Box in Athabasca over Thanksgiving weekend is my favourite story (more recently anyways!). Adam and I were up there on our second week of bringing the boxes up to the Athabasca Train Station and being in my hometown, with my brother, on Thanksgiving, while interacting with customers - very memorable and a lot to be thankful for!'

[space height="20"]

[caption id="attachment_4945" align="aligncenter" width="680"] Judi[/caption] Judi sure puts a tonne of hard work (and her love of mapping) into planning each delivery along every route - every single week - and it shows! She coordinates with all members of our team to ensure each box is scheduled for delivery as efficiently as possible - something we all can appreciate. Follow @localgoodYEG on twitter or attend The Local Good's monthly Green Drinks events to get to know her a little better - Judi also works for them part-time! Or - if you do happen to pick-up your box one week - be sure to look for Judi and say "Hey Jude - thanks for making sure my box gets delivered when I need it to be!".
