Bone Broth is packed with nutrients. Sip it like tea, make soup, or even risotto. A definite winter must have recipe.
Making it with Sunworks Farm certified organic, ethically raised chicken makes it even better!
1 package Sunworks Farm chicken broth bones
1 carrot, chopped
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 small onion, peel on, sliced in half
2 bay leaves
½ teaspoon salt
10 black peppercorns
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
10 cups cold water (2.5L)
Place all ingredients in a crock pot, simmer on low for 24 – 36 hours. Turn crock pot off and let cool for up to one hour, strain out solids, and refrigerate.
Alternatively, place all ingredients in a stock pot, bring to a boil, and reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered for 24 hours. Add more water if necessary to keep bones and vegetables fully submerged. Turn off heat and let cool for up to one hour, strain out solids, and refrigerate.
Broth can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Serve with sliced ginger and lemon for sipping, if desired
