1/8 cup Organic unsalted butter

2 Small organic red apples,peeled and thinly  sliced, skin on

6 Spice Sanctuary Whole Cloves

1 tsp Spice Sanctuary Sweet Delight Spice Blend

1/4 tsp Spice Sanctuary Ginger Powder

pinch Spice Sanctuary Paprika


1. Heat the butter in a saucepan and add the cloves and saffron. Allow the spices to infuse for a couple of minutes.

2. Add the sliced apples and remaining spices and cook down on a low heat for about 5-8 minutes until the apples soften and the butter sauce turns golden.

3. Serve this hot with ice-cream or use it as a base for apple crisp or pie, a compote for breakfast or apple butter.
